Introduction:

• Paraphrase đề bài: Some people say, what we learn from our parents, greater impact, our success, what we learn from our teachers. 
• Thesis statement (nêu quan điểm của người viết): disagree because that depends on different people.

Body 1:

• Topic sentence + Main idea: It is unsure whether families have more influence.
• Explanations:

– The first few years of childhood are very important in forming our character and traditions.

– When we already go to school, our family still always influences us.

– However, the influences are not always positive. 

– Children can learn good or bad things from their parents.

Body 2:

• Topic sentence: A lot of people are inspired by their teachers. 
• Main idea 1: Their teachers may have more knowledge and skills in the subject. 
• Example: A lot of students in my generation have parents with no or little English knowledge. Our teachers helped us improve our English, giving us better job opportunities. 
• Main idea 2: Teachers can connect students with experts in the field.
• Example: Reference letters from university professors are very valuable. 

Conclusion:

• Khẳng định lại quan điểm và những lý luận kèm theo: Not sure who has more influence. Need to consider it case by case. Families can form a very strong foundation, but not always a good one. Many people recognize the importance of school education in their success.

3. Bài viết

Some people say that what we learn from our parents has a greater impact on our success in the future, rather than what we learn from our teachers. In my opinion, I do not agree with this idea.

Whether family members, especially parents, impact someone’s future success more than teachers is unsure. The first few years of childhood are very important in forming our character and traditions, and this process happens at home. Also, even when we already go to school, our family still always influences us in many ways. However, the influences are not always positive. Many children learn from their parents’ good habits, but a lot of them also learn from bad examples. 

In fact, a lot of people say they are inspired by their teachers. Firstly, their teachers may have more knowledge and skills in the subject they are interested in than their parents. For example, in my generation, a lot of students have parents who do not know English or know very little English. The people who helped us improve our English (and that means giving us better job opportunities) were our teachers, and sometimes our friends, too. Secondly, teachers can help their students develop further by connecting them with experts in the field, while parents may not have these relationships. For instance, a university professor’s reference letter is a valuable recommendation for his student to have a chance to work with other experts in the field they are studying. 

In conclusion, I do not mean that school has more influence on our future success than family. What I want to say is that we need to consider it case by case. Families can form a very strong foundation, but not always a good one. Meanwhile, many people recognize the importance of education in their success.

1. Form something (v): to start to exist and develop; to make something start to exist and develop (hình thành).
2. Example (n): a person’s behaviour, either good or bad, that other people copy (gương).
3. Job opportunity (n.phr): the opportunity to have a job (cơ hội việc làm).
4. Further (adv): to a greater degree or extent (xa hơn).
5. Expert (n): a person with special knowledge, skill or training in something (chuyên gia).
6. Case by case (adv): considering each case individually rather than considering several cases together as a whole (từng trường hợp).
7. Foundation (n): a principle, an idea or a fact that something is based on and that it grows from (nền tảng).
8. Recognize something (v): to admit or to be aware that something exists or is true (công nhận).
