Task 2: Fewer young people choose to work in farming. What are the reasons? Should young people be encouraged to do farming work?
Introduction:
- Paraphrase đề bài.
- Trả lời hai câu hỏi: Có một số lý do chính đằng sau xu hướng này, và người trẻ nên được khuyến khích tham gia vào farming.
Body paragraph 1:
- Trả lời câu hỏi ‘What are the reasons?’
- Lý do 1: Việc trồng trọt và chăn nuôi tốn rất nhiều sức lực và thời gian. Nông dân phải đối mặt với khó khăn về tài chính nếu mất mùa vụ.
- Lý do 2: Nhiều người dân di cư từ nông thôn lên thành phố để tìm các công việc lương cao.
Body paragraph 2:
- Trả lời câu hỏi ‘Should young people be encouraged to do farming work?’
Mặc dù không phải ai cũng có hứng thú với farming, nếu có nhiều nhân công hơn trong lĩnh vực này sẽ đem lại nhiều lợi ích. - Lợi ích 1: Cắt giảm tình trạng thất nghiệp, đặc biệt đối với những nhân công không có chuyên môn.
- Lợi ích 2: Giảm thiểu tình trạng thiếu hụt thức ăn.
- Lợi ích 3: Người dân có cuộc sống lành mạnh hơn khi làm việc ngoài thiên nhiên.
Conclusion:
- Khẳng định lại các ý đã phân tích ở thân bài.
2. Sample Answer band 7.0+
The relentless development of modern society has brought in its wake major changes in employment patterns, with a falling number of young people engaged in farming. There are several key factors behind this trend, and I believe that it is desirable to encourage young adults to be involved in this sector.
The fact that farming work has become increasingly unpopular with the young generation is associated with obvious reasons. Breeding of animals and growing of crops are undeniably physically demanding, and farmers would not have a regular workweek since they always have plants and cattle to take care of. If their crops fail due to bad weather, or livestocks dies from diseases, their whole family will suffer from financial hardships and end up in a very precarious position. High levels of migration from rural areas to cities also contribute to the decline of farming. The variety of employment opportunities in conurbations means that young people are tempted to move there by higher wages and the prospect of reliable work.
Even though it is unlikely that all people do have interest in farming, initiatives should be developed to increase the size of the labour force in this industry. The first benefit stemming from this is the reduction of unemployment, especially for unskilled workers. Providing a viable agricultural economy for communities would be an effective strategy to give jobless people a realistic chance of finding work. When more individuals choose to become farmers, the problem of food shortage could also be mitigated. Moreover, working in nature might give people a sense of refreshment for mind and body, allowing them to lead a healthier life.
In conclusion, the dwindling popularity of farming is primarily to do with financial insecurity and hard physical work. Encouraging young people to work as farmers will have beneficial effects on the unemployed and society as a whole.
